Biomimetic Retreatments of Crowned Teeth: Vertical Preparations and Fiber-Reinforced Post-Free Cores
Two-day course with practical work
For the past twenty years, crown preparations with vertical margins have made a comeback. Resurgences of the so-called "trace" cervical margin from periodontal prosthetics, vertipreps and other BOPTs have logically accompanied the rise of a new, highly resistant ceramic, Zirconia.
These preparations offer the dual advantage of notable dental tissue preservation, as well as unrivaled gingival conditioning and shaping.
The icing on the cake is that by optimizing the ferrule effect, they act in synergy with modern adhesive crown-root restorations, without root posts, thus reinforcing residual dental tissues, particularly in the case of prosthetic retreatments.
Program content:
- Minimally invasive prosthetic retreatment
- Vertical preparations for crowns
- Biomechanical and biological benefits of vertical margin preparations
- Prosthetic materials and laboratory protocols associated with vertical preparations
- Post-free crown-root reconstruction
